About Margareta
Margareta grew up with an artist’s eye for detail and a natural passion for nurturing and creating. She can’t quite recall when she first learned to sew or cook, but watching her mom work with fabric and food inspired her to learn by osmosis, sparking a lifelong love for that place where beauty, quality, and efficiency meet.
For Margareta, resilience is woven into every stitch, recipe, and idea she shares, inspiring others to bring simplicity and artistry into daily life with a joyful spirit.
She is a soul drawn to deep transformation, creating harmony where others fear to go–death, birth, intimacy, the subconscious. Her power lies in creating safe, sacred spaces for others to evolve. She’s a natural emotional midwife, helping others (and herself) navigate life’s initiations with grace.

About Zach
Zach has always had a knack for fine detail and true craftsmanship. His passion lies in bringing old things back to life.
He excels in making the old brand new again and has shelves full of tools waiting for their full restoration: de-rusting, sharpening, tuning, re-handling and oiling. One of his favorite activities is deconstructing old buildings to salvage their contents, almost cries when he sees a barn falling down – or worse, burned down. He once built a shed out of his reclaimed wood just to store the rest of it! When he’s home, he’s often restoring, reading about or using sharp tools to renovate our home.
Zach carries a deep spirit of care and compassion into every part of his life. An open book by nature, he meets the world with honesty and courage, always willing to walk to the edge of things and explore what’s there.
Maxon Made Was Born
We met at 20, at a small college in Iowa, drawn together by a shared love of meaningful work and a dream to live in harmony with our surroundings. Even back then, we’d catch ourselves saying, “This would make a great blog post.”
Nearly two decades later—after raising two kids and tackling one fixer-upper—we finally brought that dream to life as Maxon Made.
Our journey has been shaped by years of learning, apprenticeships, and hands-on experience in intentional, sustainable living. We’ve always dreamed of a life where our work reflects our values and nurtures our family. Today, Maxon Made is that vision realized: a space to share skills, inspiration, and the everyday practices that help families thrive.
Thank you for joining us!
